PiiluPaavo is a powerful adzing and wood-working disc fitted with two carbide inserts. The round inserts have an exceptionally long service life and can be rotated to a new position when needed.

A D-handle is strongly recommended for use with PiiluPaavo, along with a machine that has both soft start and variable speed control. The weight of PiiluPaavo generates significant gyroscopic forces, so the user should practise sufficiently before starting work.

The inserts can be resharpened 1–2 times, after which they must be replaced. Contact us if you need a sharpening service.

PiiluPaavo must be mounted using only the clamping nut supplied — a quick-lock nut must not be used. Always verify that the disc runs true before use. Carbide inserts must not be knocked against metal, stone, or any other hard surface. Damaged inserts or a damaged disc must not be used. Minimum operating temperature −10 °C.
