The axe is crafted entirely by hand. The eye and body are forged from tool steel, and the cutting edge from silver steel — materials that ensure lasting durability in demanding hewing work.

The axe is primarily designed for log hewing: shaping logs, finishing corner notches, and other precision work where the behaviour of the blade determines the quality of the result.
