A traditional drawknife hand-forged by a Finnish toolsmith, also known by various names such as a draw shave and shaving knife.

The handles are shaped slightly angular, which helps keep the drawknife in the correct position during use. Finger guards at each end of the blade seat naturally when the tool is in use and reduce strain on the hands. The blade itself is properly shaped for debarking work, and a handmade leather sheath completes the package.

Two standard sizes are available, with blade lengths of 270 mm. Handle length of approx. 150 mm. Weight approx. 800 g. Exact dimensions vary as each drawknife is handmade. If you need a custom size — shorter, with a different curve, or straight — get in touch and we will make one.
