Blacksmith-forged axes are long-lasting tools. The axes are always delivered with a wooden handle, and the black-handled models are protected with domestic tar wax. Curved hewing axes are available in two widths, in both right- and left-handed models. Handedness is easy to remember: when you hold a right-handed curved hewing axe in your right hand, the blade curves to the left – in the left-handed model, the blade curves to the right.
